چکیده
This paper presented a novel approach to the multipulse voltage converters (VC), especially voltage source inverters (VSI) and matric converters (MC) based on several typical identical modules connected in parallel using Inductive Current Splitters/Mergers. Such arrangements resulting in lower voltage distortions at extremely low switching frequency. Proposed new arrangements was validated by simulation. Laboratory models of 18and 24-pulse 3-level VSI arrangements was also investigated experimentally. Results of simulation and laboratory tests of experimental models are presented in the paper. Design of a Digital Voltage Controller in Single-Phase Grid-Connected Renewable Converters
Power decoupling of pulsating grid side power from constant source side power is one of the paramount issues in single phase-phase grid-connected renewable systems. The principal aim of such systems is the decrease of the capacitance of the decoupled capacitor. However, this causes some problems such as an increase in the total harmonic distortion (THD) of injected current to the grid and bus v...
متن کاملOptimum harmonic reduction with a wide range of modulation indexes for multilevel converters
This paper proposes a novel modulation technique applying in multilevel voltage source converters suitable for high voltage power supplies and flexible ac transmission system (FACTS) devices. The proposed technique can generate output stepped-waveforms with a wide range of modulation indexes and minimized total voltage harmonic distortion. 'The main power devices switch only one time per cycle,...
متن کاملبررسی و ساخت یک مبدل مستقیم فرکانس بدون نیاز به خازن و سلف در مدار واسط dc
In this paper a direct ac-ac converter with low distortion input/output waveforms is investigated. Direct ac-ac converters using self-commutated semiconductor switches, also known as matrix converters, have recently attracted the attention of researchers. However, these converters are still under development due to the problems associated with the commutation of bidirectional switches employed ...
متن کاملA Novel 36-pulse rectifier with low kVA rate to reduce harmonic input current distortion
The increase in the number of pulses in multipulse rectifiers leads to a reduction in harmonic current distortion. But this increase in the number of pulses leads to an increase in kVA, cost, and complexity of the multi-pulse rectifiers. As a result, in industrial applications, 12-pulse rectifiers are mainly used due to their lightweight, simple transformers, and low kVA rate, and low cost. The...

The PCM54 and PCM55 family of converters are parallel input, fully monotonic, 16-bit digital-to-analog converters that are designed and specified for digital audio applications. These devices employ ultra-stable nichrome (NiCr) thin-film resistors to provide monotonicity, low distortion, and low differential linearity error (especially around bipolar zero) over long periods of time and over the...
